The Dilon T. Talavera Medical Assistance Fund is raising money for the diagnosis and treatment of Dilon’s neurological illness.

When Dilon was 6 months old he was hospitalized with a high fever and multiple seizures. He was treated at a small community hospital near his home in rural Nicaragua. Since his release from the local hospital he has not thrived. He is now 1 year old, but developmentally, he is seriously delayed. We have secured the services of a neurologist, Dr. Hassan at Hospital Metropolitano, in Managua, Nicaragua. The costs for Dilon’s diagnosis and treatment are beyond the means of his family. The fund’s mission is to provide financial assistance to pay the costs of Dilon’s medical treatment and to assist the family in Dilon’s care. Without our funds, no further medical treatment would be possible.
